KICKERS TEAMS HAVE SUCCESSFUL FALL SEASON
Kickers teams turned in some great results as the Fall season came to a close last weekend. The Girls u10 and u12 teams finished Runners-up with the 12 Girls losing out on goal difference. The boys teams played very well considering both the u10 and u14 squads were new teams. The u10s finished 3-1-3 and the 14's finished 4-2. Great job to all teams!

KICKERS GIRLS TEAMS WIN 1st and 2nd PLACE FINISH IN HUDSON COLUMBUS DAY TOURNEY.
All three teams combine for 7-0-2 record in group play!
The Kickers u12 Girls defeated teams from Pennslyvania, Michigan and West Virginia to earn the title of the Hudson Columbus Day Tourney this past weekend. The 12's won this tourney two years ago as u10's and looked just as impressive going 4-0 on the weekend. The 12's defeated WAZA from Michigan, RSFC from West Virginia, Arsenal FC and Northern Crew from Pennsylvania to earn the Cup. Great start to the u12 tournament year!
The u13 Girls team finished group play 2-0-1 advancing to the u13/14 Girls Championship game versus State League nemesis WoodridgeFC. Unfortunately, the girls ran out of gas losing 2-0. It was a very productive weekend as the girls played against many u14 teams. This weekend was a very good stepping stone for this team as they showed tremendous improvement and a scoring touch that has been absent for the past two weeks. Great job ladies. Hopefully a sign of things to come!
The u14 Girls played very well but were snake bitten the entire weekend. The girls finished 1-0-2 and did not advance despite being the best team in the group. The 14's first game played Friday night could have been a sign for what was coming the rest of the weekend as they dominated Woodridge outshooting them by a large margin only to give up a tying with less than 1 minute to play in the game. What looked like a convincing 1-0 win turned sour for them. The next morning the girls played very well again only to give up another tying goal to Northern Crew by penalty kick in the wanning moments of the game again. The third game versus RSFC the girls left no doubt defeating the overmatched team 4-0. Although outplaying thier opponents in all three matches they come out with nothing. The only thing left to say girls is ... Unlucky! I am confident we have many rewarding games left. Lets look to win the League Championship!!

KICKERS TEAM CLOSING IN ON LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Several Kickers teams are right in the hunt for League Championships. Three teams earned victories this past weekend to move them one step closer. The u10 Girls defeated ErieFC by the score of 6-1 to move to 5-0. The 10's have a big matchup versus undefeated NEO on Saturday 10/14. The winner of this match will claim the Championship. Good Luck girls! In the Erie game all the girls showed quality control and footwork as they handled the Erie team with only 6 players. Taylor Diver, Jordan Stallard and Clare Davis combined in goal with Julia Moss, Sara Scheel and Megan Crawford scoring goals. The u11/12 Girls and u12 Girls combined to win two games this past weekend moving both teams closer to the final. The 11/12 team defeated previously unbeated AvonFC 1-0 and Explosion 4-1 to move to 5-1 on the season. The AvonFC game was a fantastic defensive effort from start to finish. u10 Sarah Scheel helped out the cause by scoring the lone goal for the win. A great effort by all the girls but highlighted by the play of Molly Carson, Sarah Osmolski, Mary Laeng, Abby Benge and Ari Moss. One more girls!
The u10 boys defeated Claymores by a lopsided margin to move the boys to 3-1-2. The boys controlled the play and the score from the opening to closing whistle. Game details will be given soon!

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL - WERE GETTING PRETTY GOOD AT THESE!
Kickers families enjoyed another evening of fun, food and of course ... dodgeball last Friday night. About 80 people enjoyed conversation and watching the kids be kids (including Mrs. Berry - trying to play dodgeball). Thank you again for a great night! A special thank you goes out to Edward Jones for supplying some great food, beverage and give aways!

KICKERS NORTH 3 vs. KICKERS SOUTH 3
Rocky River High School girls played Brunswick to a 3-3 tie Monday evening. The game featured many Kickers girls on both teams. The stat line at the end of the game was very impressive for the Kickers club. Scoring for Brunswick were (2)Haley Frick(u15) and Heather Brownfield(u16). Rocky River's goals were scored by (2)Lindsey Mikula(u16) and Jacki Kelly(u15). The goalkeepers Brunswick Jillian Zanney(u17) and Rocky River Courtney VanAtta (former player) played very well in the game as well. Both rosters were loaded with Kickers players and the result seemed fair considering we really wouldn't want one side or the other to lose. Great job ladies! We can't wait to get you all back in November.

BOYS TEAMS GO 2-0 ON WEEKEND
The u10 Boys won 5-3 versus PFC Shaker FC this past weekend marking the second victory in a row. All players contributed to the win. Goals were scored by Jason Penza and John Woods. Nick Ceh played very well again in goal earning a shutout in the second half. Great job guys!
The u14 Boys moved to 2-0 defeating TFA (Toledo Futbal Academy) by the score of 5-2. The 14's started quick scoring in the opening minutes of the game to give the hosts a taste of what they had in store for them. Robbie Miller (Fairview) scored the first two goals. Anthony Grazetti (North Ridgeville) scored a free kick from 20 yards away giving the good guys a nice cusion. Other key contributers were Andrew Sepulski (Avon) and Ryan Fashempour (Olmsted Twp.). Two u14 Kickers girls helped out the cause by guesting for the boys. Great job Melissa and Nicole! Great job to the entire team.

U10 GIRLS DEFEAT ERIE FC AND MOVED INTO SOLE POSSESSION OF 1ST PLACE
The u10 girls defeated Erie FC 7-2 and took over first place in the division. The girls used a relentless attack to build a lead and then sealed the win with a great defensive effort. Goals were scored by Sarah Scheel (Berea), Taylor Diver (Berea), Alissa Clark (Olmsted Falls), Clare Albino (Brunswick) and Jordan Stallard (Berea). Other key contributers were Julia Moss (Lyndhurst), Grace Reinhold (Lakewood) and Clare Davis (Cleveland). Great job ladies!

KICKERS TEAMS GO 6-0-1 on WEKEND. THREE TEAMS EARN FIRST EVER WIN
The u10 Girls, u10 Boys and u14 Boys all won this past weekend marking the first win in each teams history. The u10 Girls defeated ACS Croatian Rebels 4-2 in an exciting back and forth game. The CK girls struck first as Grace Reinhold beat her player and sent a high arching shot over the goalkeeper and into the goal just two minutes into the game. The Rebels fought back and tied the score five minutes later. The CK girls were up to the challenge as Sarah Scheel scored her first of two goals on a laser shot just outside the box. The game winning goal was scored by the Kickers late in the second half as Clare Davis ran at the goal with two teammates on either side. Clare looked left and sent a low liner under the goalkeeper for the game winner. Sarah Scheel scored her second goal in the the last two minutes to secure the victory. The Kickers defense was the story in the game however as Julia Moss, Megan Crawford and Clare Albino combined to shut down the Rebel attack. Jordan Stallard, Alissa Clark and Taylor Diver worked up and down in the midfield supporting both midfield and defensive teammates. Great Job ladies and Congratulations on the first of many victories!
The u10 Boys earned they're first victory versus a very good Woodridge FC team 4-3. The 10 boys came out firing scoring the first two goals in the first 10 minutes of play. Jon Woods scored on a penalty kick and Brad Spitz scored a rocket from just outside the box to make the score 2-0. The Boys continued to control play but were unable to find the net in the first half. The u14 Boys played its first game together this past Saturday. As a matter of fact it was the first time many of the boys even met each other consider all the conflicts this Fall. Despite these shortcomings the boys played remarkably well together enough to earn a 2-0 victory over the ACS Croatian Rebels. Goals were scored by Dino Alai and AJ Benge. More info to follow...

The u11/12 Girls pool combined to win three games this past weekend. The first game ended 2-1 in a game that could have easily been 4 or 5 goals for the CK girls. The CK 11/12 team bombarded the explosion goal hitting posts and cross bars and if not for that and stellar goalkeeping by a former Kickers player the score would have been much higher. The girls came through in the end and won in the end. The second game matched the CK12's versus Woodridge FC. Another game in which CK dominated but only managed three goals in a close game on the score board than on the field. Final score Kickers 3 Woodridge 2. THe third game of the day matched the CK 11/12's versus ACS Croatians Rebels. The Kickers outmanned the Rebels in this game winning 4-0. The game was played much more competitively than the score indicated. The Croatian team played very well desipte being outsized and muscled in this game. Goals by the Kickers 12's throughout the day include: Jenn Lash, Briana Blythin, Sarah Osmolski, Morgan Ritchie, Shelby Zelek and Megan Largent. Great Day ladies!
The u13 Girls earned a hard fought 0-0 tie versus a fast and physcial Woodridge FC team. The Kickers had their chances missing on several opporunties from post/cross bar shots to great saves by the Woodridge goalkeeper. One of the closest came in the final seconds as Katie Link sent a high floating shot that the goalkeeper misplayed and was heading for the goal but bounced just wide as the final whistle blew. The girls played with alot of heart and worked very well together for not quite knowing eah other all that well yet. Keep up the good work ladies!

TRAINING MOVED DUE TO IRISH CENTER 75th ANNIVERSARY
The trainings on Wednesday (9/6), THursday (9/7), and Friday (9/8) will be moved to the Brookpark facility to accomodate the Irish Centers 75th Anniversary festivities. Players are asked to bring both indoor and outdoor equipment. The training tmes will remain the same.

KICKERS TEAMS START OFF FALL SEASON
The Kickers kicked off the Fall season with five very competitive games. The u10 girls were awarded a forfeit victory over Concordia. The u11/12 team played hard in a 6-3 loss to Avon FC. The u12 girls defeated GAP 1-0 and Ohio Strikers 2-1 to take the early lead in the division at 2-0. The u13 girls lost a close contest at Claymores 4-2. The girls played well considering no substitutes and five new faces on the field. The u14 girls routed Ohio Strikers 5-0 in a game that also featured 7 new faces. Great start ladies!

KICKERS TEAMS WIN THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND ONE RUNNERS UP FINISH AT NOSO CUP
The U11Cup, U11Trophey, and U12 Girls Teams all won First place Championships this past weekend at the 29th Annual NOSO Cup (North Olmsted, Ohio). The U14 Girls lost a heart breaker 2-1 in the final for a Runnersup finish for the second straight year. The U11Cup squad defeated all foes in way to the Championship scoring 12 goals while giving up only 1 for the tournament. The team defeated ErieFC 3-0 and Cleveland United 2-1 the first day and GAP 5-0 and Victory Express (PA) in the final game 3-0. Great job ladies for another outstanding weekend. The U11Trophey team had a difficult first day tying both games with identical scores of 3-0 versus Brooklyn SC and Rocky River. Sunday was their day to shine as they defeated the unbeaten Rockers team to earn them the division and place in the final against River. The final seemed wrapped up in the opening cheer as the girls were as pumped as we have ever seen them. The team raced out and scored a goal within the first two minutes of the game. The game would carry on with a fast pace with action end to end. The Kickers wrapped up the game early in the second half as they scored a goal just after the break and two more in the last 10 minutes. The game ended with sounds of cheers by the girls and parents as the u11's swept both divisions of the tournament. Great job to all the 11's! The U12 Girls wond the Championship in a similar way as the 11Trophey team. The first day was difficult as the 12's lost the opener to GAP 3-0 in the morning game and needed a vistory versus ErieFC in the afternoon for any chance of advancing. The girls came thru and demolished Erie 5-0 in the second game. Sunday was the day of reckoning as the morning game pitted the Kickers versus Heart of Oak from Washington, PA. The winner of this game would place themselves in the final versus GAP. The Kickers controlled a good portioon of the game but was unable to find the net. The frustration would continue until the final minute as Leah Sandercock found herself free and dribbled 15 yards to shoot a laser in the corner for the last minute victory. The final game matched the Kickers against GAP. Gap had beaten the Kickers in a dismal performance by our girls. This game was going to be different. The 12's came out firing scoring the first goal 10 minutes into the game as Breanna Pastor took a goal kick sent into the opponents half of the field and rocketed a shot past the GAP goalkeeper. The girls showed much better control and poise this game compared to the first. The lead would last until 2 minutes before the break as GAP scored a quick goal on a counter. The second half started out just like the first with the Kickers controlling the tempo of the game and scoring the go ahead goal 10 minutes into the second half when Caroline Blackwood converted a cross from the back post. The lead would last about 5 minutes as GAP scored on a crossing play of their own with a little over 10 minutes to go. The Kickers were not to be outdone this day as they mounted pressure of their own and with a little less than three minutes to play Kristine Garcia grabbed a loose ball just outside the box and sent a guided missle into the upper left corner for the game winner. The 12's earned a well deserving Championship beating a very good GAP team. Congratulations to all the teams on a great ending to our year.

U14 GIRLS END SEASON STATE LEAGUE CHAMPION AND RUNNERS-UP AT NOSO CUP
The u14 girls ended the Spring season a perfect 7-0 and Champion of the Ohio North U14 Girls State League. The Girls defeated CSA, Toledo Celtics, NEOFC, GTFC, GAP, and PhoenixSC to earn the title. Congratulations ladies! The 14's finished off the tournament season Runners-up in the NOSO Cup losing 2-1 to a very skillfull and fast North Missisauga Panthers from Canada. Missisauga obliterated all opponents in the tourney up to the final. The Kickers however gave them a fight they were not expecting. Our girls played well but unfortunately were a penalty kick short against this very explosive team. Great job and great Year ladies!

KICKERS EARN THREE RUNNERS-UP FINISHES AT JAROSI CUP
The Kickers sent 6 teams to Columbus for the Jarosi-Willis Memorial Cup this past weekend. Three teams finished in second place earning tropheys for their accomplishment. The u11 girls defeated Pride SC and West Central in group games on Saturday but lost to CSA on Sunday playing most of the game with 10 players. THis was the first time the girls played 11 v 11 and played fantastic even on Sunday playing a player short. The u12 girls earned the second place finish by winning two Saturday games versus a very strong COSA team and . The final versus Cincinnati West was competitive but our girls playing without substitutes and lost out in the end. The u15 girls defeated Northside FC from Columbus and Indy Fire from Indianapolis, Indiana but lost in the final to Phoenix in a closely matched game. The 15's also played the entire second half with 10 players as two girls suffered injuries that kept them off the field. All teams fought extremely hard and were well deserving of the Runners-up finishes. In other action, the u14 girls ended with two ties and a loss. The u10's played great defeating Club X from Columbus 2-1 but lost the other games versus very good competiton. The u16 girls ended 1-2 defeating Phoenix SC but losing 2-1 and 3-0. Overall the girls played very well and gained great experience against very good competion.

NEW BOYS TEAMS WILL COMPETE UNDER IRISH FLAG The Kickers boys teams have regrouped and have established a new name and colors as they will be playing as the WIAC/Kickers. We are very excited having a brother club and look forward to building the boys side up very similar to the Kickers girls. Coach Clark will continue to look over the boys side with George Ebenger taking more control of daily operations, recruiting and scheduling. The boys teams will train and compete under the Kickers umbrella but and will only be separated by name and "colors" only. Tryouts for the WIAC/Kickers will be Tuesday and Wednesday June 13th & 14th at the WIAC Fields. We will be forming u8-u14 teams

U11 AND U14 GIRLS WIN PARKER MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP
Kickers girls teams competed in the Parker Memorial SOccer Tournament this past weekend in Mentor, Ohio. The U11 Girls won the Parker Memorial Championship in dramatic fashion beating Ohio Premier 3-2 in the Championship match. The girls lost to OP in group play in a closely contested match 3-1. The Kickers were not to be outdone in this game winning 3-2. The Kickers defeated CSA Impact 6-3 in the Semi-final while OP defeated ErieFC 6-0 in the other Semi-final. Great team work and support given the entire weekend by all players and families. Highlights for the weekend include great Attack play from Aly Motter, Jenny Cook, Shannon Kelly, Kelly Johnson, Megan Janosky and Madison Franklin. The "Fantastic Four" in the back comprising of Ariana Moss, Sydney Morgan, Rachel Ragone and Kelly Mac in goal created a wall in the back that even "the other" fantastic four would have a hard time penetrating. Other contributions of hard work and ocmposure was given by Megan Largent, Morgan Ritchie and Christine Gates. Great Job ladies!
The u14 girla defeated Anthony Wayne 3-1 to win the Championship with a complete effort by the girls in dominating fashion. Each and every game the girls came to play and earned the chapionship with a total team effort. Some highlights of the u14 weekend include the play of Mary Richards and Sarah Underhill. Tireless efforts from both players helped keep pressure on our opponents. The defensive presence of Trisha Pappas, Nicole Pappas, Rachel Golz, Erika Schmidt and Kelly lezark again helped seal the deal in each game. The attack play of Haley Frick and Angie Martinson seemed too much as they just wore down the opposing defenses. Great job ladies!
The u10 girls played inspired soccer this weekend in they're first outdoor tournament as a team going 1-1-1 gor the weekend. They defeated Concordia SC 7-3 lost to the Cleveland Blues 5-3 and tied Erie FC 4-4. Overall a very impressive first tourney ladies!. The u15 girls seemed a bit snake bitten this weekend falling hard the first game to CSA Impact but coming back to defeat GTFC16 in a doinating performance. The semi-final match the Kickers up against OSFC 17's. The Kickers controlled the entire game in time of possession as well as the score 2-0. The last 12 minutes was the Kickers downfall as they literally gave up three shots that turned into goals. The game turned from being a completely dominating game where the girls should have felt extremely satisfied to a feeling of disbelieve as the soccer gods took the game from them in 12 short minutes. We mentioned how this game can be very cruel to you and this was a great example of that. Keep your heads up ladies. We all know who was the better team on the field. The u12 girls played very inspired soccer but came up short in three games winning one. We gave a good battle in two of the losses ladies and I think in the long run it has made us a better team. I very much look forward to our next few games. Keep your heads up!

The Cleveland Kickers SC will be holding its first Wing/Pizza Night on Saturday May 20 at Upper Deck Sports Cafe in Berea. The cost will be $15.00 per person which includes unlimited Pizza, Wings, Pop and Beer. Please pass the word and hopefully we will have a great turnout. All proceeds will go directly into purchasing goals and equipment for all teams
See your team manager to purchase tickets. Volunteers will be needed for various activities that evening as well. We hope to see everyone there!

KICKERS SHOW WELL IN START TO 2006 STATE LEAGUE SCHEDULE
All the Kickers teams began the 2006 season this past Saturday in Toledo. Some teams faired well and some played well but were caught up in the numbers game as many players were away for Spring break. The two teams that faired very well were the u11 and u14 girls teams. The u11 girls tied a very tough Perrysbug SC team 1-1. The game went back and forth with both teams seeing plenty of action in front of the goal. Perrysburg scored first only to see the Kickers Sidney Morgan score on a long shot that was midplayed by the Perrysburg GK. The game ended 1-1 with both teams having opporunities to win. Key perfomers for the Kickers were Sidney Morgan and goalkeepers Kelly Mac and Megan Largent who played fantastic keeping the score knotted at 1. Great job ladies. Good kick off to the season! The u14 girls defeated Toledo Celtics at Celtic Park 6-4. The game started off very strong for the Kickers as Angie Martinson and Haley Frick scored goals to take an early 2-0 lead. The Celtics had two great one on one runs by the #21 player who scored two unanswered goals. The 14's would come right back 10 seconds after the tying goal to take the lead again 3-2 on a H.Frick goal down the middle. The Kickers would gain control of the game at that point and continue to score until the final score of 6-4. The game was highlighted by spirited defensive play by Sara Underhill, Tricia and Nicole Pappas and the scoring of Haley Frick and Angie Martinson. Player of the Game: Angie Martinson, Angie gave us the spark in the beginning of the game and really pressured the Celtics defense throughout the entire game. Great job Angie!

U10 & U13/14 GIRLS CAPTURE LEAGUE TITLES IN OBERLIN
The u10 girls and u13/14 girls both wrapped up undefeated seasons in session II at the Oberlin Gameday Facility. Both teams showed great control and garnered rave reviews from many opposing coaches, parents and officials on how well composed they are and how well they played together. That is the kind of reputation we are trying to build! The u10's also wrapped up session II at Concordia finishing in second place with a 6-2 record. For the combined session the girls compiled a 14-2 mark! Great job ladies. You have come a long way in a very short time.

FOOTSKILLS & OPEN PLAY SESSIONS BEGIN THIS FRIDAY
Open footskills and Free Play sessions begin this Friday February 24. The Footskills session will go from 600-700p following with open play from 700-800p. The open play session will be age group appropriate to keep numbers manageable. More information will be posted at trainings

SPEED & AGILITY SESSIONS OFFERED Coach Shadd will be conducting Speed and Agility sessions for all Kickers players looking to improve personal ahtleticism. He will be offering these sessions on Friday's from 500-600p. Kickers players are invited to join Padua HS players in these intense workout sessions. Contact Coach Shadd or sign up at training. Cost will be $20.00 for 6 weeks

SOCIAL TO KICKOFF NEW FACILITY BIG HIT WITH PLAYERS AND PARENTS
The club social last Friday turned out to be one of the best yet as over 100 players and parents showed up to kickoff our new facility. The evening was highlighted by a raffle for prizes donated by various individuals and a parent vs. kids dodge ball game. Of course the parents were victorious in the ball brawl. Everyone seemed to really enjoy socializing and playing the entire evening. Thank you for all the wonderful dessert items families shared and a special thank you to Tracy Lezark for providing a cake with a fantastic Kickers logo and photo.

KICKERS TEAMS WRAP UP OBERLIN DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS
The u10 Girls and u13 Girls teams both wrapped up division Championships in Oberlin Gameday Session II. Both teams are currently 7-0 with one game remaining. Both of those games will not effect the final standing as both teams are at least two games in front of the second place teams. The u10 Girls defeated Midview 6-4 in a game the score was closer than the actual play. The Kickers dominated play from start to finish with Coach Narlin using girls in many positions and even playing players short to keep the competitiveness for the girls. Great job ladies in a great session. The u13 Girls defeated The Norwalk Magpies for the second time this session earning the trophey in the u16 girls division. The Kickers used combination passes and composure to control the league. Although our girls were 3 and 4 years younger than most of the teams in the league they showed great composure and skill in handling the bigger faster opponents. Great job ladies!

STATE LEAGUE TEAMS GO 4-0 ON WEEKEND
The Kickers perfomed as well as possible winning four games in league play this past Saturday. The u11 Girls started the day off with a trouncing of Hudson United 7-1. THe 11's used more of a pressure game forcing Hudson into numerous costly mistakes that Kicker forwards turned into goals. The u12 Girls Defeated ErieFC in the second game 6-4. This game was not as close as the score indicates as the Kickers pummeled the goal on numerous occasions and just not finding the net. ErieFC did find a few breaks in our defense but overall I do not think the outcome was ever in doubt. The score was close throughout the game but it was only a matter of time before our forwards broke though. Great job ladies. The u15 Girls defeated GAP U16 and OSFC U16 squads in back to back games. The 15's played very sporadic in the first game versus GAP. The game was extremely fast and very physical. The Kickers were able to maintain composure and take out the physical aspect of the game in the second half and put together numerous scoring runs with great individual effort and combination plays. Player of the game: Jacki Kelly - four goals. Great work! The second game the Kickers learned quickly from the misfortunes of the first and played with control and composure the entire game. From the kickoff to the final whistle the Kickers controlled the game. Best game yet ladies! Great job.

KICKERS MOVE INTO NEW BROOKPARK FACILITY
The Kickers have officially moved all trainings from Oberlin Gameday to the new complex located in Brookpark. This move will enable our trainings and general club operations to be more centrally located for all our families. We are still in the renovating stage of the facility but will be ready for training Thursday Feb 9 and fully operational by the this coming weekend. More details to follow.

KICKER TEAMS HAVE TREMENDOUS WEEKEND IN STATE LEAGUE AND OBERLIN
The u12 girls defeated a tough Hudson United team 6-2. The girls played well on both ends of the floor as the defensive unit led by Courtney Kenney and goalkeepers Amanda Copfer and Breanna Pastor were rock solid allowing very little opportunity on goal. Scoring goals for CK were Leah Sandercock, Kristine Garcia, Rachel Gates and Caroline Blackwood. Great job ladies. The 11 girls defeated the sister Hudson United team by the same margin. The 11's showed consistency throughout the game gaining the lead and keeping constant pressure to not let Hudson back into the game. If it wasn't for sensational goalkeeping on the Hudson side the game could have been a blowout by halftime. Standouts for CK were Christine Gates and Madison Franklin up top. The Megan Largeant and Nicole scoring great goals from the midfield. Great job ladies! The u13 girls Oberlin team won two games on Friday night 7-1 and Sunday evening 9-0 to all but wrap up the league u16 girls title. The girls played a very controlled game against very intense and physcial teams from Elyria and Lagrange Keystone. The girls dealt with the physical play very well and soundly defeated both overmatched (skill wise) teams. The girls have an overall record of 7-0 with 2 games remaining. Congratulations! The u9/10 girls Oberlin team won their 5th game to move to 5-0 in the league standings. The girls played very well again controlling the ball and using multiple passing combinations to gain the victory.

KICKERS TEAMS FAIR WELL IN WEEK TWO STATE LEAGUE
The u11 and u12 girls teams both won games this past Saturday in week 2 of the State League. Both teams defeated CSA from Mentor by the score of 4-1. The u11 girls game was highlighted by a spirited defense led by Jenny Cook, Kelly Largent, Ariana Moss, and goalkeeper Kelly Mclaughlin. Great job ladies in coming back strong after a tough loss last week. The u12 Girls bested CSA by the same score by not just stellar defense but overall dominance of the field. The Kickers lost to this same team two weeks earlier but proved that game was a mere fluke as the Kickers showed composure and control of the game from the opening whistle. Highlighting this game was the finishing by Rachel Gates, Leah Sandercock, Kristin Garcia and great control in goal by Amanda Copfer. Player of the game: Megan Deis. Great game Meg! When you play like that the rest of the girls will really follow you.

U15 GIRLS DROP ANOTHER NAILBITER TO CSA15
For the third straight game, the u15 girls found themselves trailing by 4 goals to CSA, rallied, but came up short. The 15's were trailing 6-2 will a little over 12 minutes remaining. They closed the gap on a shot from the top of the box by Chelsea Kertes. Two minutes later they cam within 2 goals on a goal by Heather Brownfield just inside the red line. The Kickers would conitue to pressure and with just over 4 minutes remaining scored another by Lindsey Mikula to come within a goal. For the last few minutes the Kickers pressured the goal and had several near misses and another great save by the goalkeeper to preserve the victory for CSA. The last three games versus CSA ended as follows 6-5, 6-6, 6-5. Unfortunately for our girls we have been the 5 in both games. We right there girls. Keep your heads up.

KICKER TEAMS END FIRST SESSION ON HIGH NOTE
The u13, u14 and u15 Teams all concluded first session with wins this past Saturday. The u13 team defeated Hudson United 10-1 to even their record for the season to 4-4-1. THe u14 girls finished off 7-2 defeating GAP14 9-2. The u15 Girls defeated NEOFC 9-1 to complete the season 5-1-3. All three teams showed very well and we are looking forward to session II very much.

U10 GIRLS DEFEAT LORAIN SC 9-2, NOW STAND AT 2-0 AT GAMEDAY
The u10 girls used a ball control style of play to defeat the Lorain SC 9-2. The Kickers used 14 players and many new faces in the onslaught. The u9/10 Kickers play out of Oberlin and Concordia using as many as 17 players in the player pool. Great job ladies! Look for a list players on theses rosters very soon!

U6 COED TEAM WINS FIRST GAME 5-4 WITH EXCITING FINISH
The CK juniors won an exciting game versus Olmsted Falls 5-4 at Lenau Park last Saturday morning. If the time of the game didn't excite you (7:20AM) the play of the 5 and 6 year old boys and girls would. They played great considering for a majority of them the first time on an indoor soccer field. Everyone is looking forward to the next game. If you have a chance to come watch, take the time. If you can get up that early!

SESSION I WINDING DOWN FOR KICKERS U13 and U14 GIRLS
Both teams came away with wins this past Saturday upping the 14's record to 6-2 in league play. The u14 Girls defeated Hudson United 5-3. The Kickers held possession of play and the score board throughout the game earning its 6th win of the season. The u13 Girls came away with two back-to-back close victories versus Hudson United and Cleveland United each by the score of 4-3. The Kickers controlled play against Hudson using short passes on the ball from the goalkeeper forward. The girls lost a little momentum in the second half letting Hudson back into the game before finishing off the game in the final 30 seconds. The second game (five minutes later) the Kickers showed early signs of fatigue as United jumped on them early for two goals as the Kickers were trying to find energy lost from the first game. The Kickers were not to be denied in this game. It seemed as if the half time break energized our girls and took a little out of United. The Kickers roared back scoring four goals to United's two to earn the win. The last goal scored by Kayla Kazanowski on the doorstep with just over 40 seconds remaining in the game. Great job ladies! You earned those games, especially afer being snake bitten in three of the others. Keep up the hard work!

The u16 Kicker Boys team fought off Elyria Catholic Varsity squad 2-2 last Saturday night. The Kickers found the net twice with goals from Bobby Pierzchala and John Petrenko. The defense was led by newcomer Goalkeeper Mike Kenney. Great job guys.

The Kickers u9/10 Girls started off session II defeating Midview by a lopsided score. The girls played very well combining for most of the goals holding a large time of possession advantage. Player of the game: Kaitlyn Rebholz, 4 goals. Did you see that Coach Narlin! 4 goals.
The u16 Girls defeated a team of Kickers from Rocky River 5-2 in the opening game of the high school division at Sportsplex. The u17 Girls were not as fortunate as another band of Kickers from Rocky River beat them in the first game. The u14 Girls defeated Amherst HS 7-1 winning the first game of its session also in the high school division at Sportsplex. Great first weekend ladies.

U14 GIRLS RUNNER-UP IN ERIE CHRISTMAS TOURNEY
The Kickers girls teams competed well in one of the largest indoor soccer tournaments in Pennsylvania. The Erie Christmas Cup drew clubs from all throughout Pennsylvania and many other teams from Ohio and New York. The Kickers U14 girls lost a hard fought championship game to the host club Erie Admirals 3-1. The Kickers scored the first goal of the game with a rocket shot to the upper left corner by Angie Martinson. The Kickers continued to put pressure on the Erie goal but unfortunatly could not find the net as the Admirals scored three goals to gain the championship. The Kickers earned their spot in the final by winning the A group with wins over Erie Admirals white (Erie, PA) and Northern Steel S.C. (Pittburgh, PA). THe Kickers needing a tie or win in the third group game to win the group forced ahead of Cleveland United 2-0 only to see United score three late goals to take the lead. The Kickers scored the final goal of the game with less than 30 seconds remaining to earn the exciting tie and spot in the final. Great job ladies!
The U11 Girls played well but were eliminated in the knockout round 4-0. The 11's defeated Westside Stars (Cleveland) 5-1 and tied the Pittsburgh North Stars 2-2. The third game matched the Kickers up with the Cleveland Blues who benefitted from the Kickers inability to score and found the net on virtually all four attempts on goal. The girls played well on the first competition on a big field together.
The U12 Girls had a very succesful tourney earning a place in the semi-final round but losing to Ohio Premier 3-1. The 12's ended up as the wild card winners as they finished second in their group on goal differential. The girls earned their place in the semi's by defeating Westside Stars (Cleveland), Northern Steel (Pittsburgh,PA) and drawing with the Erie Admirals.
The U15 and U17 Girls both had disappointing tournaments earning a tie each in the three games. Everyone goes thru tough streaks once in a while. Hopefully this will be it for the girls. Overall it was a very successul two days for the club. We have proven ourselves to be an up and coming club. Thank you to all players and families who travelled and supported our club and players the past two days.

The Kickers Christmas party last Thursday was the biggest social event ever. Thank you for all who helped out with wonderful dishes to share. We have really come a long way in a short time. KICKERS TEAMS HAVE STRONG WEEKEND IN ALL THREE LEAGUES
The U11 Girls defeated Berea Boys U11 4-2 on Tuesday to raise their record to 2-3-2 with one game remaining. THe girls have been playing very well as of late recording 2 wins and 2 ties in the last four games. Keep up the good work ladies. All the girls played very well in the victory. Player of the game: Kelly Johnson, a little bit of payback on your cousin Kelly! Good Job!
The U10 Girls defeated Columbia by a score of 10-2. THe Kickers held control of the game from the opening kickoff until the final whistle. All Kickers contributed to the victory. Great job girls.
The U12/13 Girls Defeated Elyria HS 12-4 in Oberlin Gameday action. The Kickers came out strong scoring the first five goal of the contest and held control until the end. Just about every player scored a point in this match. The combination of Caroline Blackwood, Laura Penza and Mary Richards were a little too much for Elyria as they contributed the most to final outcome.

KICKERS TEAMS HAVE SOLID WEEKEND
The U9/10 Girls defeated NOSO in league play last week by the score of 6-5. details of the game will come soon.
The U11 Girls played very well against the Lakewood Boys11 and tied 6-6. The girls came back from an early deficet and came away with a well deserving tie against a good team. The U12 Girls dominated play but ended up tying a Elyria Catholic girls in the Oberlin Gameday league. The Kicker girls held the advantage the entire game but were unable to hold off the EC comeback. Goalscorers for the Kickers were Leah Sandercock and Hannah Huelsman.
The U14 Girls played their best game of the season defeating CSA 6-2. The Kickers used tight defense, solid goalkeeping and pressure attacking to swarm the CSA goal. Key contibuters for the Kickers were Sarah Underhill and Mary Bridges. Great job ladies! The U15 Girls controlled the tempo and the score until the last minute ending in a frustrating 3-3 tie with NEOFC. The girls completely dominated play but could not find the net. Unfortunately for CK, NEOFC finished off three shots in as many attempts. Key players for the Kickers were Colleen Foley.

The U11 Girls get their first win of the session after several close games in the COncordia Boys division. The game was dominated by the 11's from the opening whistle. The girls came in competing well but not able to finish off the opponent. The girls came out strong and took command on the field and on the scoreboard. THe game finished 3-0 in the 11's favor. Goal scorers for the girls were Madison Franklin, Megan Largent and Kelly Johnson. Great job ladies. Keep up the great work.
U12/13 Girls (Oberlin) played a great game controlling the time of possession and eventually the score as they defeated Elyria HS 6-2. The girls showed great composure and balance as six different Kickers scores goals. Goalscorers: Courtney Kenney, Jacki Kelly, Colleen Foley, Carly Love (Yes! That's right..Carly!), Hannah Huelsman, Laura Penza.
The U13 Girls(SL) team defeated GAP 14 by the score of 6-2. The girls have been struggling as of late playing well but not getting results. This game however showed how the hard work and composure can pay off. They finished opportunties and put pressure on the opposing team to come back. Great job ladies.
The U14 Girls upped their record to 3-2 with a dominating perfomance over Cleveland United. The girls played extremely well defensively keeping everything away from the home goal and putting constant pressure on the opposing net. Player of the game: Rebecca Saplak - Becca played great on both ends of the floor. Keep up the intensity Becca!
The U15 Girls came back from a four goal deficet to tie Phoenix SC (Youngstown) 7-7. For the second week in a row the 15's found themselves trailing needing a series of goals to get back in the game. The 15's scored three goals in the final four minutes with the last coming with just under a minute to play. Higlighting the comeback was the play of Emily Maurer whose presence in front of the goal confused and frustrated the Phoenix defense. Emily posted low on the goalkeeper and pressured every shot attempted on the frame. Three goals resulted from this pressure. Other players of note were Heather Brownfield, Hillary Crookston, Colleen Foley and Lindsey Mikula. Lindsey had four (4) shots that deflected off the crossbar. Talk about unlucky!!!. Great comeback ladies!

WEEK 2 INDOOR WRAP UP
Both boys and girls teams perform well in week 2 of indoor league play. BOYS
Still working out the kinks of new faces and new coaching the boys teams split game this weekend. The U15/16 squad lost a tight match vs. GAP16 2-1. The game was close throughout as the Kickers had several opportunites that were saved by the very ahtletic GAP goalkeeper. Stathi Papadrop scored the lone goal for the Kickers with the defense led by goalkeeper John Petrenko limited GAP opportunities and goals to two. The 17/18 boys had a better performance on the field and scoreboard beating Ohio Select 5-3. The field was full of new faces for the Kickers but worked well with one another and gutted out the victory. Key performers for the 18's were goalkeeper Greg Kovach who enabled the Kickers to stretch they're lead with several close opportunities he swatted out of the goal area. Key goals were scored by Justin Miller and Justin Miller and Alex Orosz.
GIRLS
The U11 girls started out the week with a 6-6 tie against a very fast and physical Fairview Boys team. The Kickers fell behind early but came back to take the lead and hold it until late in the second half. The girls were led by offensive standouts Madison Franklin and Caitlyn and Megan Largent. The defense was led by Morgan Ritchie, Ariana Moss and Kelly Largent. The u10 Girls played a very composed game vs. BSA Arsenal but lost on the score board. THe girls had many combinations but just couldn't pull the trigger fast enough around the goal. Although controlling most of the play the girls learned a valuable lesson of needing to finish off plays. Great job girls. Keep up the hard work - and Keep Shooting! The u12/13 Girls Oberlin team defeated Elyria U16's 4-3. The girls used a controlled oriented style of play to defeat the older faster players. The team is now 3-0 but more impressively controlling the tempo of each game they are playing in. The u13 girls battled Phoenix SC from Youngstown in back to back games this weekend. The first game was quite an exhibition of control and composure as the girls defeated the Phoenix 4-3 with only 5 players! The girls kept control of the ball for at least 80% of the game. Fantastic combination play and composure in all areas of the field highlighted the victory. The second game the girls were not as fortunate. Although they controlled the pace of the game and again held control of the ball for more than 75% of play they could not find the back of the net and unfortunately ran out of gas. Great work ladies!

The U15 Girls played very well but fell in the opener 6-4 vs. CSA Impact. The game could have gone either way with both teams managing quality attacks but unfortunately for the Kickers CSA was able to put two more away. A very respectable showing for the first game with much to look forward to in the near future. Key contributers in the game include Heather Brownfield, Hillary Crookston and Megan Sauers (Brunswick HS), Lindsay Gilchrist (Padua HS) and Lindsey Mikula and Liz Adamescu (Rocky River HS). Let's get them this week girls! The U16 girls had a tough first week losing both games but putting in a good effort. We have alot of new faces and it will be a little challenging to get to know everyone and get on the same page. Geep your heads up! The U18 Girls split its first two games winning 1-0 and losing 5-2. The first game was highlighted by the goalkeeping of Morgan Zavodney (Fairview HS)and the game winning goal of Nikki Vincek (Admiral King HS). Other key contributors were the Vesna and Bilyana Simonoski (Brunswick HS) and Aly Endress (Lakewood HS) for tireless work in the midfield and up front. Great job!

U11 GIRLS SEND A MESSAGE IN FIRST INDOOR GAME
The u11 girls lost the first game of indoor session I 4-3 but sent a message to the boys that we will be a team to watch out for. The Kickers added 8 new faces to the u11 roster and performed very well despite communication and position difficulties throughout the match. Highlights of the game include a tremendous game tying goal by newcomer Madison Franklin. Maddy beat two players on her way to goal and slotted the ball nicely under the Berea goalkeeper. Other key contributers were (newby) Jenny Cook and Christine Gates who worked very hard on both ends of the field. Great first game for the whole team. We are all excited for our next game.

CLUB SOCIAL BRING AN END TO A BUSY FALL SEASON
The club enjoyed a final day of games and a social to complete the Fall session. Although two teams will be competing November 5th & 6th, this weekend marked the end of league games. A special thank you goes out to all families who made the social possible and a special thank you to Tracy Lezark and the Lezark family and Brian Berry and the Berry family for all the hard work organizing the event. U11 KICKERS DEFEAT ERIE FC UNDER THE LIGHTS AT LENAU
The u11 Girls defeated Erie FC in a very tightly contested match last Thursday night. The game was played at a very high pace with the excitement of playing under the lights and the dew on the field. The game went back and forth the entire 60 minute with the Kickers getting the last goal with a little less than four minutes to play. Both sides played very hard with neither side deserving a loss. Great job by both teams!

KICKER TEAMS SPLIT RESULTS OVER THE WEEKEND
All girls teams played this past weekend at Lenau Park in cold wet conditions. The u11's battled GTFC in a nail biter but found themselves falling 2-1 in a tightly contested match. The Kickers held off a barrage of shots in the opening stages of the game and finished off a shot just before the break to take a 1-0 lead. The girls again fought off a very good attack in the second half but was unable to hold GTFC off the score board as they scored midway thru the half. The game remained deadlocked until two minutes to play when the visitors scored what would be the game winner. Great job girls! Player of the game: Kelly Mac, Fantastic goalkeeping kept us in it!
The u12 girls split games with CSA impact out of Mentor. The 12's controlled the game and the score 2-0 over CSA's u12 team with Lea Sandercock and Jocelyn Spitz scoring goals for the good guys. The second game had the 12's on the wrong side of a 5-1 score. CSA's u13's were just a bit bigger and faster than our girls but the effort cannot go without notice. Great job girls!
The u14 girls split games losing to GTFC 6-1 and beating HDSP 4-1. GTFC was probably one of the better teams we have faced all year. A lack of intensity and experience played a major part in this game. GTFC was a bit more conditioned as a team than our girls. The individual effort was there, but unfortunately you cannot put up the fight you want without all your weapons. I would really like to play this team with all of our players! In the second game our girls seemed a bit more motivated as they outplayed and defeated HDSP from Hudson, Ohio. Haley Frick, Sarah Underhill and Angie Martinson scored goals as the Kickers erased the first performance with a much better "team" effort.

KICKER TEAMS PERFOM WELL OVER WEEKEND
The u14 Kickers defeated GAP14 1-0 Firday evening on the campus of Kent State University. The girls were invited to play this league contest on the KSU Championship field after the Ball State vs. Kent State Women's soccer game. KSU lost the match 2-0. The Kickers started out playing short but played very well scoring a goal just before the halftime break by a goal by Erin Rogers assisted from Haley Frick. The second helf saw limited opporunities by GAP due to the stellar play by defensive standouts Ericka Schmidt and Kelly Lezark. The offense led by Frick, Angie Martinson, Joanne Berry, Sarah Underhill, Emily Austria and Mary Bridges continued its pressure delaying the game in our attacking end giving our girls a 1-0 victory. Great Job girls!
The u11 Kicker Girls played a big, fast Pacesetter 11 team to a 4-4 draw. The team played but deserved a better result. The girls wroked very hard gaining a two goal advantange in the second half but were unable to hold on as Pacesetter scored to late goals to tie. Newcomer Christine Gates and old reliable Sydney Morgan had their work cut out for them keeping Pacesetter off the board. Great job ladies! Keep up the hard work. Remember, with the success you earned last season comes targets as the team to beat this year! Keep playing hard.

KICKER TEAMS HAVE GOOD WEEKEND. U12's SPLIT GAMES
The u12 girls defeated CSA12's 1-0 but fell to GAP12's in friendly games this past Saturday. The first game the 12's started short handed but were able to play very well giving up three unfortunate goals. THe second half would be completely different as CK dominated play but was just unable to put enough past the GAP goalkeeper. The final score 3-1. The second game late in the day matched up the CK12's versus the CSA Impact from Mentor. CSA defeated the same GAP team 3-0 in a previous match. This game however was completely dominated by CK as they scored an early goal as Leah Snadercock drilled a shot past the CSA goalkeeper and the team never looked back. Although the score ended 1-0 the Kickers dominated play as the CK defense shut down any attack before they reached our box. Grat play by all Kickers. Players of the game: Leah Sandercock 9/3/05
U12,U13,U14 EXHIBITION GAME AT BERA FAIRGROUNDS
All U12,13 and U14 Girls are invited to play an exhibition game at the Cleveland Octoberfest in the Berea Fairgrounds. All players/families will be admitted free.
Directions to Berea Fairgrounds: (From 71) I-71 to Bagley Road exit. Head West off exit ramp. Go to Eastland Road. Turn South (left) on Eastland. Go to University Street on left. Entrance to fairgrounds will be just ahead. All players please arrive no later than 1230p. Thom or Rick Welker will be at the gate directing players/families. The game will take place on the main field by the grandstands. We hope to see you there!

KICKERS KICK OFF FALL SEASON WITH 3 WINS
All Kickers teams played the first set of games this past Saturday ending with three wins and a loss. The u11 Girls defeated GAP11 by the score of 2-1. Kelly Johnson and Shelby Zelek scored goals for the Kickers as they started off the same way they finished the Spring with a nice win. Great job girls. The u12 girls played a very well considering this was the first game of as a true u12 team. The girls lost to Concordia 12's but showed very well against a good team. This team will make its mark very soon and will definetly be a team to watch in the coming weeks. Notable standout performances in the game were newcomers Rachel Gates (1 goal and nice work off the ball), Alyssa Lawrence for her work and composure in the back and veterans Leah Sandercock and Kristine Garcia for attacking ability and control in the midfield. Great job to all u12's! Keep up the hardwork!
The u13 Girls and 14 Girls dealt very well with an influx of new players and terrible weather conditions for the first game. The u13's Girls defeated Findlay SC 2-1 in a rainsoaked game that had end to end action. The Kickers controlled much of the game but was unable to put a finishing touch or pass on the ball. Numerous opportunites were missed which enabled Findlay to stick around and keep things close. Fantastic play by Kickers defenders Lauren Smirnov, Megan Deis, Haley Chen and goalkeepers Kayla Kazonowski and Brianna Pastor kept Findlay at bay and enabled the Kickers to cap off two scoring drives for the win. Goalscorers were Rachel Sherwood who shot a laser under the Findlay GK arms and Haley Chen who connected late in the game in the monsoon. Great job girls!
The u14 Girls soundly defeated Greater Akron Premier (GAP) 5-1. The girls had no problem going forward as the Kickers defense stifled GAP every time they attempted to go forward. Great job girls! Every player and each team has started the season fantastic. Keep up the hardwork!

He played Division I soccer at Cleveland State University. He grew up in North Ridgeville playing for North Ridgeville HS. He will be working primarily with the girls teams.

NOSO CUP BRINGS AN END TO A GREAT SPRING SEASON
The club entered 7 teams in this past weekends NOSO Cup in North Olmsted with all teams playing competitively with 1 Championship and 2 Runners-up finishes. This was a great showing for our club and we are all looking forward to more great results in the future.

U10 Girls
The U10 girls capped off a fantastic first year with a stunning 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten Greater Toledo FC. The 10's lost the opener 5-1 to GTFC but ran off two straight shutouts to earn a rematch for the Championship. The score of the two games were 3-0 over NEO Soccer and 5-0 over Greater Akron Premier. The NEO game was an emotional game as both teams entered this game as Co-Champions of the Inagural State League with a record of 7-0-1. The two teams tied 1-1 in the only match played between the two teams. The Kickers pressed from the start and rightfully gaining the result with dominating play on both ends of the field. Goalkeepers Kelly McLaughlin and Taylor Ceh both played fantastic shutting down all attacks by NEO. Morgan Wade(2) and Morgan Ritchie scored goals for the Kickers giving them bragging rights until next year. The Championship game pitted the Kickers against GTFC (2005 Ohio North State Cup Finalist) and winner of the first game in dominating fashion. The second game however was completely the different. The Kickers struck first and maintained pressure throughout the half. The emotion of the final and the relentless pressure in the midfield and patience on the defensive side created a wall GTFC just could not penetrate. The Kickers came thru with a dramatic victory that would highlight the tournament for the entire club. What else can be said girls - Great Job! Awesome!!!

U12 Girls
The U12 girls earned a Championship game by defeating NOSO12 6-0, Victory Express(PA) 1-0 and a comeback tie versus the Northern Ohio Alliance 2-2. The highlight of this tournament for the 12's was the NOAlliance game (NOA is a team made up of the best players from all participating clubs in the AFL competing an age up). The 12's found themselves trailing 2-0 after 10 minutes, regrouped, and found the net twice in the second half to earn a tie. The girls knew coming in a tie would be just as good as a win because of the tie breaker and points in previous games. With that in mind, the girls clawed their way back into the game with two fantastic goals by Heather Mauretic and Leah Sandercock and then took over defensively not allowing NO Alliance to penetrate the box for the final 15 minutes. The defenders: Missy Richardson, Monika Virag, Jessica Finkler, Megan Deis, Haley Chen, and Rachel Sherwood along with the rest of the team were not to be denied in this game. This comeback will rival the remarkable comeback versus the Interenationals this past winter. Great Job ladies! The final game matched up the Kickers versus Ajax United from Ontario Canada. Ajax was well prepared and seemed very fresh as they handed the Kickers their only loss of the tournament. Congratulations 12's! All of you played great!

U13 Girls
The u13 girls finished in second for the second straight tournament finishing with a record of 3-1. The only loss coming on a last second goal against Victory Express from Washington Pennsylvania. The Kickers did not play particularly well in this game having trouble dealing dealing with the poor field conditions and could not overcome the final drive off the corner kick. In the other 3 games the Kickers outscored their opponents 12-1. They defeated Norther Crew (PA) 5-1, Cleveland United 6-0, and the Brooklyn SC 1-0. Higlighting the 13 team was the defensive group of Tricia and Nicole Pappas, Ericka Schmidt, Rachel Golz and goalkeepers Haley Chen and Joanne "the Glove" Berry! Thank you to newcomers Brittany Tawner and Lauren Davis. Hopefully we will see you again!

U14 and U15 Girls
The girls 14's and 15's both played hard but had unfortunate results throughout the tournament. The 14's lost 1-0 games to Victory Express(PA)and Excalibur THey also fell to the Rochester Junior Rhinos (eventual Champion) and could not find the net during the entire tournament. The 15's had a little better luck drawing with East Gwillingham (Ontario, Canada) 2-2 and losing a tightly contested match with Rochester Junior Rhinos and Excalibur 1-0. All three games could have easily gone the Kickers way but for some reason or not it did not happen for them. Good effort Ladies! Good Luck in High School.

U12 Boys
The u12 boys started off with a bang as they overcame a 1-0 deficit with a rocket shot shot that was deflected off a NEO Soccer defender and into the net giving th 12's a well deserved tie against a very skillful NEO team. This was another rematch between two Ohio North State League teams with the first match going in favor of NEO in a lopsided contest back in May. This game however would be different as the Kickers stepped up pressure and composure dominating much of the game especially in the second half. The next two games unfortunately ended with the boys losing out but not without a fight as they showed continued improvement and intensity thoughout the tournament. Good Job Guys!

U14 Boys
The u14 boys had a similar tournament as the u14 and 15 girls. They came in with high expectations but for some reason or not the ball just didn't bounce their way all weekend. They battled in all three games but came away on the short in all three. Good effort guys. We will continue to get better! Keep plugging away.

U14 EARN 2nd PLACE FINISH IN AVON LAKE FATHERS DAY TOURNEY LOSING 2-1 IN OVERTIME
The boys u14 team played about as well as they could but constant pressure against a bigger, faster more physical Perrysburg team took its toll in the end. The Kickers came out of the gates quick as Brad Snow turned a defender and placed a shot in the upper right corner to give the good guys a 1-0 lead. The Kickers would press and almost connect on a few more opportunities but ended 1-0 at the half time whistle. The second half would be dominated by Perrysburg. They came out determined to pick up the intesity and took over the game physically. The Kickers fought off wave after wave but gave up the tying goal with a little more than 8 minutes to play. The Kickers did rally with a few attacks before the final whistle but came up short. In the insuing 5 minute overtime Perrysburg caught the Kickers in transition and scored from 6 yards on a redirected cross two minutes in. The Kickers would mount two more attacks but did not find the net as the final whistle blew and the Perrysburg team celebrated the win. The Kickers have nothing to be ashamed of as they played very well the whole weekend. The coachng staff is very proud of this group as they fought very hard against a physically dominating team who were 1 and some 2 years older. Great job guys! We are all looking forward to the NOSO Cup.

U14 BOYS GAIN FINAL IN AVON LAKE FATHERS DAY TOURNEY
THe u14 Boys played two 4-3 games this afternoon winning both and advancing to the Championship game Sunday afternoon. THe first game the 14's found themselves trailing 3-0 after dismal finishing and poor 1 v 1 defending. The boys were able to scrap one back as Josh Burns hit a low liner past the Insernia SC goalkeeper. The half ended 3-1 with CK frustrated but not outplayed in any stretch. CK came out in the second half determined with a little chip on their shoulder as they tied the score just 7 minutes into the second half. Goals by Brad Snow and Josh Morris gave the Kickers new life and inspired the defense to shut down the Insernia attack. Brad Snow scored again to give the Kickers the lead they would not relinquish. The game ended with the Kickers pullng out a remarkable comeback setting up a second game that could give them a final appearance.
The second game of the day matched up the Kickers vs. the host Avon Lake 14's who were fresh off a 3-1 in thier cross over game. The Kickers went down early as Avon Lake pressed the goal and knocked one past John Petrenko about 15 minutes in. The lead would not last long as Josh Morris connected on a low shot to the right corner knotting the score 1-1. The game turned into a route in the second half as Josh would connect three more times giving him 4 goals and the Kickers team a 4-3 win and place in the Championship game against Group B winners. Great work guys! Good Luck in the Final!

SOCIAL HIGHLIGHTED BY THREE KICKERS GAMES
The second club social turned out very well considering the poor weather conditions later in the evening. THe day was highlighted by two early evening games and the highlight game of the Kickers 12 Girls taking on Concordia SC U12 Girls. The first series of games pitted the U12 and 14 Boys taking on and defeating Dynamo SC by the score of 3-0 and 5-2 respectively. Both teams played very well and were very deserving of the result. The highlight game ended woith both teams tying 2-2 in a very well played match. Both teams had numerous chances with the Kickers scoring first only to have Concordia fight back to tie. The Kickers would regain the lead and stellar goalkeeping by Monika Virag would enable the Kickers to give up just one more goal and earn the tie. Goalscorers for the Kickers were Haley Chen and Leah Sandercock. Great finish to a fantastic regular season. Thank you to all players and families.

U10, U13 & U14 GIRLS COMPETE IN COLUMBUS. U13's LOSE IN FINAL 1-0
The girls u10,13 and 14's all competed very well this past weekend with all teams needing a last game result to go thru or win in the final. Unfortunately the only team to reach the final were the u13's who lost 1-0 against a very determined Arsenal team from Columbus. The girls trailed 1-0 after only 40 seconds as the Arsenal converted a free kick that hit the crossbar and deflected in off the goalkeeper. The Kickers would have numerous opporunties including crossbar hits of their own but would not have the same luck as they fell in the end. The girls earned the final winning two games on Saturday by a combined score of 9-0. The girls were very competitve considering the fact that the Kickers team was made up of 4 u11's, 4 u12's and 8 u13 players. Great job ladies!
The u10 girls were a bit unlucky this past weekend outplaying several opponents but unable to score. The team ended 1-2-1. The girls fought very hard and really should have been rewarded with a better record. The coaches all agree that the first two games, espeically the first should have gone our way but for some reason could not find the back of the net. The ball bounces strange ways someimes and for the 10's this past weekend we couldn't tell where it was going to end up! Better luck next time ladies.
THe u14 girls showed the most character and heart of the weekend. They had to overcome having only 12 players the first day and only 11 the second. The first game we benefitted from poor finishing by the Columbus Thunder in the first half and stellar defense by the Kickers in the second to win 2-1. Every player contributed in the win as the Kickers were extremely satisfied with the outcome. The second game was the Kickers downfall as the game was physically out of control as the girls lost a player to injury and lost the game 1-0 to the Columbus Fusion. The frustrations of that game turned to determination and drive for the third as the girls had to win 4-0 to have a chance of advancing. Mansfield Liederkranz fell victim to our girls 4-0 as the Kickers defeated them with 11 players including numerous players playing positions not familiar to them. Unfortunely the team we defeated in the first game won and advanced by a three team tie breaker of goal differntial. The girls need to be commended for their performance over the weekend and the coaching staff and club appreciates the effort they put in. Great job!

U10 GIRLS WIN STATE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
The u10 Girls team wrapped up an undeafeted season and co-championship of the Division I State League. The team ended 8-0-1 with the lone tie against NEO Soccer who also shared the title. The final game capped off a great league season winning 14-0 against an overmatched Croatian Rebels from Eastlake, OH. Every team member scored goals as the girls dominated from start to finish. Great job ladies! The highlight of the game was the team work used in dousing Coach Katie with the water jug. Very well played ladies!!!!

U12 BOYS CLOSE OUT WITH A TIE AGAINST VERY TALENTED SUMMIT FC
The u12 Boys played Summit FC to a 2-2 draw last night and easily could have won it a few times. Summit lost 1 game all season and should have lost a second but a lucky break at the end saved a tie for them. Josh Abend ran around two defenders and shot from point blank range only to go off the post in the closing seconds of the game. "He should have been rewarded with that run he made. He beat two defenders and struck the ball neatly in the corner but unfortunely he was too perfect as the shot banged off the post". "He worked so hard for that goal!" The boys played well creating chances that for some reaosn were not falling. The goals that did go in were scored by Austin Zavodney and Tyler Williams. Great finish guys!
Player of the Game: Charlie Kemp, Great support defense and attacking out of the back. Not bad throw-in's either!

U14 BOYS DEFEAT SUMMIT UNDER THE LIGHTS AT LENAU PARK
The u14 Boys capped off the season with a hard fought 3-1 victory over Summit FC last night. The boys played under the lights and it seemed to motivate them a bit more than usual. They played better than they had the past few games espeically on the attacking side. Goal scorers for CK were Cory Kisel hitting a 25 yard volley past the Summit goalkeeper who could do nothing but admire the ball as it smoked past him. Brad Snow scored what would end up being the game winner knocking it past the feisty Summit GK. Anthony Grazetti finished the scoring with a laser left foot shot that beat the GK to the right side of the net. Other key players were John Petrenko in goal who made several spectacular saves including two free kicks that were placed very well, but not well enough to beat John. Jacob Clark in the back securing the defensive line and Nolan Tidwell for tireless work in the midfield. Great finish to the inagural season!
